What does readiness to return look and sound like for this student? Name what they will be able to say, how they will speak about those affected, and what they have been thinking about, talking about and planning to do.
Contact plan — who will make contact and when?
Does this student need daily contact or key milestone conversations? Assign ownership clearly. The student should know this plan before they leave.
Who has been harmed and needs to be part of the return conversation? Note staff members needing preparation or support.
